The nasturtium plant features large, round, bright green leaves. Its flowers come in various colours, predominantly yellow, orange, and red, and have a unique shape that resembles a hat, giving it the common name “capucine”, referring to the resemblance to the hats worn by Capuchin monks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The flowers, leaves, and immature fruits of the nasturtium are all edible.
They have a peppery flavour similar to watercress.
